I spent an hour yesterday walking through the streets of Brighton town with Piers from Stick in a Pot.

Piers sings on the forthcoming single 'The Inherent Racism of Doves'.

The two of us were recording a video for the single and I am pleased to say it went really well.

I have a bit of editing to do over the weekend and hopefully will have a new video to share with the world in the next week or so.

The second Amongst The Pigeons album 'Get Amongst It' will be released worldwide on 23rd April 2012.

The album features 12 brand new tracks and will be preceded by a double a-side single released on 5th March 2012.

Get Amongst It was recorded over the last 18 months on various trains, planes, hotel rooms and finally finished and mixed in my very own Beat Shed Studio. I am really happy with how it sounds and cannot wait for you to hear it too...

Hello Pigeon Lovers,

Hope you all had a great festival holiday period and enjoyed the last few weeks. I did.

I have however been very busy over the last few weeks writing press releases, making promo cd's and updating mailing lists galore.

I am almost ready to send out the promo copies of ATPLP2 > SINGLE 1 to national and local DJs and am really hoping for good things with this release.

These should all be send out by next Monday which will then lead me onto the album promotion.

The single is released on 5th March and the album is out on 23 April. Still seems a while off but believe me that's no bad thing considering how much promotion work I have got ahead of me.

There are a few bugs and teething issues which I will work on next week but on the whole it's looking good and I'm rather happy with it. It even looks good on my iPhone!

Reflection & Aims

It's reaching the end of 2011 and as always around this time of the year, I like to review my 'reflection/aims' post from last year and set new aims for the upcoming year.

This year has been good - I got to play some great gigs such as The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party and even Glastonbury. I also got to support Dodgy!

But I did not meet a lot of the aims I set out - I wanted to do a tour, I wanted to play more gigs and I had originally hoped to release ATPLP2 in 2011. That said - I have been busy.

I decided that I would make ATPLP2 the best it could be and that meant not rushing it.

I wanted time for the tracks to grow and expand organically, I made about 12 different versions of the album, dropping the tracks that were not good enough, continually tweaking it and perfection it over 1000 listens.

The album is currently being Mastered and I am really, REALLY happy with how it sounds. I cannot wait for you (the humble public) to hear it, which will happen in April 2012.

This brings me nicely onto my aims for 2012:

ATPLP2 & singles
I guess the biggest thing about next year will be the release of my second album.

As I said before I am so happy with it and really hope that it is liked by the public. It will be released in April 2012 and is preceded by a single in March 2012.

I am going to be working really hard over the next 3 months to promote this album and its singles to ensure as many people as possible hear it and ultimately buy it.

I have put so much work and effort into the album over the last 2 years and just hope that all the love and attention I have given it is recognised.

There will be 3 singles released off the album in March, June and August - so there is lots of promotion to get the album recognised.

Lot's more on ATPLP2 in the new year.

ATP:LIVE
I have only done 14 gigs so far as ATP. I have played some great places but still want to play more. One of the things I most want to do is go on tour - even if its just a week long tour at some of the major cities in UK.

The other thing I want to do is radically change the way I perform live. I know how I want the set to be, but it's not there yet. I need more equipment and possibly expand the live personnel over the next few years.

So for 2012 - I want more gigs - bigger audiences and you to come and watch me play.

That's it really...

In 2012 I would like the new album to do well, I would like to play more gigs and I would like to continue to build my following.

To aid this I have been building a new (v3) website - it's not finished yet but I thought I would leave you with a sneak peek. Hopefully it will all be up and running for the new year.

Lights, Camera - Pigeons

Been busy over the last few weeks.

I can now confirm all recording and mixing on ATPLP2 is FINISHED!
This is a rather massive milestone for me as it means the process of making music is now finished.

Next week I am going to a local studio to discuss Mastering the tracks - another great milestone.

On Wednesday evening I headed out into the cold, blustery Brighton night and did a photo shoot. I have never done a proper photo shoot before and I am totally and utterly over the moon with the results. The photos were taken by the very talented Anna Richardson and will be used for promo when the album comes out and inside the album sleeve. I added a little sneak peek here for you!

So what's next - well, I will get the album mastered over the next few months and am planning to release the album next April/May with a single out in March.

I already know what the 1st single will be and I am going to be working my arse off to get it into the hands of the people that matter. There will be a video made for this over the winter months.

In many ways ATP will be hibernating over December - but work is going on, plans are being plotted and I am really REALLY looking forward to 2012!

Gigs with Grasscut, Dodgy and Album news

I have a couple of gigs coming up over the next few weeks so have dusted off the live equipment and plan to do some practice before they happen.

First up I am supporting GrassCut who are NinjaTune artists - the gig is at The Blind Tiger in Brighton this coming Sunday. I'm on at 9pm > Facebook Event.

Then there is the Dodgy gig on Friday 4th November. For this one I am selling tickets.

OK - So onto the album ... as you know I have been recording ATPLP2 for the last 18months and I am pleased to say all recording is now finished. My plan is to do a final mix of the album over the next month and then sit on it for a month or so.

Then I will listen to it again (after a break) and if it's still to my liking I will begin getting it mastered.

Still no idea when or how it will be released - but on the whole I REALLY cannot wait for people to hear it.

I was in the middle of making a new song and it seems fitting to dedicate it to him. He was after all the true Cat Amongst The Pigeons.

It has been quite a while since I did a blog update and for that I apologise.

I have been pretty busy over the last few weeks working on a number of things. I played a set at the Secret Garden Party and have been working non stop on ATPLP2.

The last week has seen me finish the first mix of the second draft of the album and I am really happy with it. There are 3 tracks that require some friends to add vocals to, but after that the record in terms of my involvement will be complete.

Following that I will be looking to get it Mastered - not sure where I will be doing this yet but I have decided to spend the money on getting that done rather than getting CDs produced.

I am still really unsure about how this record will get release, I might give it away for free, I might spend a few months trying to find a label to release it. I simply just don't know.

I am however making plans for the life of the record and plan to release 3 double A-sided singles. So a total of 6 tracks from the album.

I have the artwork ready to go ... It's an odd situation to be in at present ... more to follow.

ATP:LIVE008 : Glastonbury Festival

Last week I was at Glastonbury Festival and am pleased to say I got to play on the Greenpeace stage on Saturday evening.

I have been going to Glastonbury since 1995 and it's always been a dream of mine to say I played there - well now I can say I have!

The whole week was great, highlights included Primal Scream, The Vaccines and the whole Arcadia/The Common area on Saturday evening.

I look forward to returning in 2013 and hope to be playing there again.

Whilst heading home last night I received an email saying 'just heard you on 6 music', I was rather chuffed to later find out that Steve Lamacq played 'The Return of The Red-eyed Raver' on his show.

I sent Steve a copy of my Summer demo which has 3 tracks on and he opened it over the weekend. He says 'not really sure what to make of it - but I like it' - which sounds good to me.

Hello folks.

It's looking lovely outside today and I have just read that Glastonbury is going to be hot hot hot this summer which puts me in a great mood. So I am feeling festive and wanted to update everyone on my upcoming festival shows.

First up is BurnBake Calling which I am playing on Sunday 12th June. I will be the last act to play over the weekend and will be on stage at 7pm (ish) to give everyone one last rave before they head home. There are tickets still available at £35 which is a steal for a weekend of camping and music.

Next up is Glastonbury and I will be playing on the Cow Shed stage at some point over the weekend. Not totally sure when it will be as its a case of getting the slot sorted when on site. But if you are going, pass by the Green fields and keep an ear out for some beats.

Then in July I am heading off to play at Secret Garden Party on the Remix Bubble stage. The festival is already sold out so if you dont have a ticket you wont be able to party. But if you do - I am on at midday on Sunday. I plan on playing in my PJs so come along and lets get the day of rest off to a great start.

Finally for now - I am putting on a gig in August at the HobGoblin in Brighton. This will be on Sat 20th August and as well as being a gig it's also my Birthday. All are welcome.

Joining me on that date are Anna Madeline and |'bleiki| - both of which are awesome musicians and it will be an excellent night.

The Great Escape / Midday Ravers

So last Saturday I had the pleasure of playing at The Great Escape festival in Brighton.

I was on the open air 'Hub' stage which was by the library in Jubilee Square.

My set was at 3.30pm and playing before me were the very excellent 'Dry the river' who had totally woo'ed the crowd with their lovely songs.

I was unsure as to how the relaxed Brighton audience would take my music but I am pleased to say it all went very well.

I began my 45 min set with some new material and it was really fun watching everyone dance along.

I had a slight issue during the set in the sense that my equipment has flashing lights so you can see whats being played and sequence up the next loop etc - However in bright sun these lights are not visible to the human eye.

But I managed to get through and it was a success. This has led me to be even more excited about my upcoming festival sets at Burnbake and SGP.

The sun is shining - the weather is sweet

It's a lovely day down on the Brighton coast and it's almost the weekend, so all in all, thing's are good.

This week I have been battling a horrible cough-cold-flu thing, but did manage to make it out on Tuesday to see Primal Scream perform Screamadelica at the Brighton Centre.

Screamadelica is one of my favorite albums of all time and this year see's the 20th anniversary of its first release. The show was excellent - all of the tracks sounded new and refreshed and it was a great night. Primal Scream are re-releasing a 20th anniversary of the album, you know, all remixed and remastered etc.

But, what I would love is that bands re-record the album all over again. Same songs etc but record them as they are now - new technology, new energy etc. It would be an amazing release.

I have often thought this with many albums and hope one day someone does it.

Also this week I have been playing around with the ATPLP2 demos and sent out a few CDs to people for some initial listens. There is a lot more to do on the album but the basic structure is there.

I am lining up some excellent guest vocals on the album and I imagine it will be 100% finished towards the end of the summer.

I want it to evolve over the next few months and be a bit more organic than it currently is.

Coming up this weekend I am going to the VW Volksworld show in Esher. As many of you know I own a 1973 Bay Camper so am looking forward to a weekend camping and seeing all the other vehicles :)

It's been a while

It's a bit of an odd time for me at the moment. I am in the middle of making ATPLP2 and on the surface it does not like there is much going on - but that's very wrong.

I am about 67% of the way through the new album - I am hoping to have the 1st draft finished by the summer - I will then sit on it for a bit and revisit it a few months later to improve and rework the tracks. I am hoping to have the whole thing finished (mixed, mastered, etc) by the end of the year with a view of getting it released in 2012.

I am also working on making ATP:LIVE better and better - I did a secret show last week which was great fun. The new tracks sounded ace and it taught me that road testing the songs before putting out the record is a great plan.

I have a few festival dates lined up for the summer and will be looking for more and more - so please send my details to people if you know them.

I have been working away on the new ATP:LIVE set and progress is starting to go well.
I have a new setlist and will be playing 3 new songs on its first outing. My hope is that as more new songs are made I will be able to bring them into the set over the summer.

Time flies

It's fast approaching the end of January and the first month of 2011 will soon be over.

I am still working away on ATPLP2 and progress is good. I have 7 new demos now and will keep making new tracks until I have enough to make an amazing album. I finished 'Throwing Nightmares' last week which sounds like a Sci-fi theme tune.

I have started to become very critical of my own music at the moment and will not accept anything other than brilliant for the finished album. The nice thing is I dont have a label on my back giving me deadlines so at least that gives me the opportunity to take my time.

The other thing I am trying to do is secure some slots at this Summers festivals - but this is proving hard without a booking agent.

So in summary - things are plodding along nicely but will get busier over the next few months.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and that 2011 brings you success and happiness.

I had a nice relaxing time and continued to work on the ATPLP2 demos. I now have 5 tracks that are in various states of readiness. I was working on one the other days which is currently called 'owls' but will change to something less stupid.

I am looking to write some lyrics for it and have a few more 'proper songs' on this album (like Larkin About from MTBYTT).

I was hoping to spend some time working on the new ATP:LIVE set but got too into working on new material. I am not actively looking for gigs at the moment but will be accepting some as and when they come along.

I am hoping I can get the rough outline of ATPLP2 finished over the next few months and incorporate some of the new stuff into the live show. So by Summer 2011 its going to sound fantastic.

That seems a long way off but this year is already starting to fly by ................

2010 : Re_flection

As I approach the end of the year I always start to reflect on what has happened over the last 12 months in the world of ATP.

I have just be re-reading my similar post from last year and this time last year the main thing I wanted to do was get ATP:LIVE up and running. I am pleased to say that this happened.

2010 has been a rather eventful year for me, it started off slow but picked up in the last 6 months.

In the summer before my back operation I released the 'Repeat to fade EP' this got lots of good reviews but failed to get the radio plays I had hoped for. It always frustrates me how difficult it is to get national airplay.

It was during the recovery of my back operation that I made the 'Flat on me back EP' - a little project to keep me busy during the recovery - but also had a few great ideas on it, some of which will be expanded for ATPLP2.

The recovery of the back operation also gave me time to deconstruct my songs and work out how to do ATP:LIVE.

The first ATP:LIVE show took place in September and following that I did a few other gigs including playing Brighton:Live on the Great Escape Stage which was a real pleasure. Since then I have gone on to support some really cool bands such as Seefeel, Men, Teeth and Small Black.

In November there was the Brighton Music Awards for which I (or rather Maria) won best artwork, again a great achievement and it was nice to be part of a local awards event.

So in reflection 2010 has been a good year and I have achieved a lot, but as always I am hungry for improvement and want to achieve even more in 2011.

What are my aims for 2011?

Well ....

ATP:LIVE

I want to carry on perfecting ATP:LIVE, bringing new songs into the shows and making each show sound better. I want to play gigs outside of Brighton and also do a tour (or two) during the year. I also want to play festivals in the summer and realise this is one of the hardest things to do, but I am determined to get my name out there and get booked for as many as possible.

ATPLP2

I have already begun work on ATPLP2 (for those of you who have my debut album you'll already know what its going to be called). I am really hoping to make a big progression with the second album. I have learnt a lot over the last few years and feel that I have created an 'ATP sound' which I hope to improve and develop.

I have three new songs that are being worked on at the moment, these are called 'The Man Who Smiles When Things Go Wrong', 'FutureDeadRockStars' and 'The Inherent Racism of Doves'. All of them are sounding rather good.

The other thing I want to say about these titles is all of them have come from what ATP fans have said on either Facebook or Twitter - I am constantly monitoring what you are saying and if I like the order you put some words in I may nab it for a song title.

The other aim I have with ATPLP2 is that it will get released on a small independent label, once I have finished the album I will be sending it out to see what reception it gets. I also hope to get more national airplay with the singles I release off it.

I am going to keep making remixes - I have a few that I am finishing at the moment and will update the blog when they are done. But I love doing these so if you want one made - get in touch!

So I guess in reality 2011 will just carry on from 2010 as after all the change of year is just another day.

I do hope that over time I can take things to the next level - I want more people to know about ATP and maybe eventually have someone who takes on a management kind of role to allow me to make music and play live whilst they do the other stuff. Who knows.

Last gig of the year - done

Last night I played my last gig of the year supporting Small Back at Jam, it was a good night and some great other bands were on the bill.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has come to see me play live during 2010, its been a great experience taking ATP into the venues and playing live. I got to support Seefeel, Teeth, Men and Small Black - not bad for the first few months of gigging.

I have big plans for expanding these live shows in the future - next year I want to integrate some new material to keep the shows fresh and to be able to chop and change set lists more. I also want to get to more cities across UK, the main places I want to play are Bristol, Manchester and London - so if you know any good promoters there tell them about me.

Beyond that I really want to form a live band for ATP:LIVE with additional people on Drums, bass, keys and suchlike. That probably wont happen until 2012 - but if you know someone who would like to join the ATP fold let me know.

Anyway ... again thanks to all who braved the elements to see me this year and see you all on the Road in 2011.

ATPLP2 - demos

This week I started work on the 2nd ATP album.

I am going to be spending the next 6 months or so making demos and then trying to play them live before eventually re-recording them for the album.

As such there are going to be a fair few demos appearing/disappearing online over the next few months - all which will be free to download.

Last night I attended the 1st ever Brighton Music Awards at the East Wing of the Brighton Center. There were a number of categories such as band of the year, live act of the year, solo artist of the year etc etc etc.

Anyway I was nominated for the Artwork of the year for the 'Repeat to fade EP' cover and am ever so please to say - I WON!

I must also give a MASSIVE thanks to Maria who did the artwork for the EP - My brief was dark and twisted and her artwork captures it perfectly.

Some of you may remember a while ago I was asking for people to vote for my 'repeat to fade' artwork as part of the Brighton Music Awards. Well I am pleased to say that my ep cover has been selected and made the final three.

I believe the organizers of the awards now decide on who they want to win, which seems a bit bizarre to me, but there you go. The idea of a public vote which is then decided by committee just defies logic. What will the winner be based on? Is there a set criteria? Or will it just be who they like the most based on popularity? Who knows? Not me.

But its nice to get this far.

The awards are in November and have apparently already 'sold out' so I am not even sure if the people who are nominated will be going along?

I will update you all when I hear more.

Observations of Etiquette

Last night I played my 3rd gig as Amongst The Pigeons. Now that the initial fear has passed I am really starting to get into playing ATP live. I feel more confident to play around with the songs and experiment with effects and noises. It has also promoted me to make some new material as I am already bored with parts of the show and want a few new 'dance' hits to carry the weight.

I was on first last night and was followed by a band called 'Over The Wall' who were brilliant. Its very rare that I see bands I like anymore, but these two guys had some great songs and you could tell they loved playing. Go check them out!

The headline band were called Teeth, and my views on them are probably less positive. The band turned up about 9.15pm, having missed any sound check earlier on in the night. They then preceded to take 30 minutes to set up on stage. All they actually did was build a 4 piece drum kit and plugged a phono-out lead into a MacBook. It was all rather bizarre.

In my opinion bands should respect gigs and everything that comes with them, the traveling, the set up, the sound check, the timings. If you can't be bothered to respect the promoter and the people who come to see you play - why the hell should the respect you?

Anyway ...

I have a brief gap now before the next ATP:LIVE which will be on Saturday 13th November in Brighton @ 4.30pm!. For all the lovely details >>> Click here!

ATP:LIVE #001 : Brighton Live

It is nearly 6 years ago since I started making music as Amongst The Pigeons and I am oh so pleased to announce that I will be playing ATP:LIVE in October.

The first ATP live gig will be part of Brighton Live which is a week long festival of free gigs in the city and I have been asked by The Great Escape to play on their stage on Friday 8th October.

I will be playing at Hectors House which is a Pub on Grand Parade > here is a map.

The doors open at 7.30pm and its free, I will be onstage around 8-9pm. Not sure of the exact time yet but I will update you before.

Later on in the night I am also doing an ATP:DJ SET at the Latest Music Bar from Midnight until you all go home.

ATP News: New EP, New Site & Remix Album

i) As some of you may know, two weeks ago I had an operation on my back to remove a prolapsed disc. Following the operation I had to spend 98% of my time flat on my back, so I decided to use it wisely and make a new EP.

I decided early on to make this a free download EP. Only allowing myself one working day on each track, I’d start at 9am with a blank canvas and by 5.30pm I’d have a finished track.

I made a few tracks and selected 5'ish to form the ‘Flat On Me Back EP’, I am really happy with how its turned out and think there are a few gems on it, and possibly some of my best beats to date.

Recovery

My back operation was last Wednesday and I am please to say it all went well and I am now resting and recovering.

I am not in as much pain as I thought I would be and have been using the time wisely.

I am not going to say too much just yet - but - expect a few surprises over the next few weeks.

Needless to say I am keeping busy and enjoying relaxing. It makes a nice change from day to day life.

On Wednesday of this week (28/07) I am having a major back operation. The operation is to remove a prolapsed disc and fit a little gadget in me called a Wallis Ligament.

My back problems started five years ago when lifting a guitar cab badly, at the time my back went in to total spazam and after a few weeks it got better - however it never fully recovered.

A few years ago I went to the doctors and they sent me to get physio at the hospital, but after 3 months of that it did not help. So last year I went back to the doctors and got referred to a specialist.

This 'specialist' told me that I was most likely imagining the constant pain I was in and was a complete idiot, I did get referred for a MRI scan which came back showing actually how bad my back was.

So it was a fair few months ago I got told I would be having an operation and now, it is days away.

I am nervous and not really looking forward to it - the recovery time is 6 weeks flat on my back and it will take 6 months to fully recover from the operation.

However I hope that soon the pain I am in everyday will improve and it will all be worth it.

Today is not a good day. I am having a bad day. Its Tuesday 13th July 2010.

Six weeks ago I ordered a sampler and synth from Dolphin Music using the Arts Council funded Take it away scheme. Today I got confirmation that I have to wait another six weeks until I get the synth.

I ordered the latest Roland SH-01 GAIA synth and annoyingly my local shop GAK have them in stock, so I wanted to cancel my order with Dolphin. But because I am ordering it as part of the Take it away scheme I cannot cancel the order.

So I now have to wait and it will be 3 months from when I first ordered the item that I'll get it. It could even be longer.

Its really pissed me off as I wanted to crack on with ATP:LIVE during August after my operation (more on that another day).

I spent half hour on the phone to Dolphin trying to resolve it but there is nothing 'they' can do. If I am totally honest I am sure there is. So I wrote a letter to all concerned and hope that they look at the situation and either release me from the contract or find another way of sourcing the GAIA. Even if it is at their expense.

On the plus side - my 'Catch the pigeon' DVD arrived today which I hope to use as part of the live show...Knowing my luck at the moment the disc will be broken.

Anyway - going to 2000 Trees this weekend - can't wait!

BRIGHTON beatmaker Amongst The Pigeon's Repeat To Fade EP is worth playing over again.
A more sturdy, flowing collection than his eclectic LP Music To Brush Your Teeth To, the six-track release starts slow with ambient Mocha To Go and then progresses nicely throughout.

A little of the comical quirkiness of previous Amongst The Pigeons has been lost, and any song about a waltz such as Michael Jackson's Last Waltz should surely be three beats-per-minute, harrumph.

But nevertheless with tracks like the moody The Darker Side Of... and skankin' The Kids Of Today this excellent collection should be racing into your collection.

Post-party mash-up music is the snappy soundbite accompanying this strange release, although anyone hoping to come down gently to its tonal niceties is likely to spiral back into a giddy hallucinogenic whirl.

Last weekend was The Glastonbury Festival and for the first time since 1994 I did not go. I was gutted. Added to this upset the England football team crashed out of the world cup. All in all it was a rather depressing weekend.

However! It was also the first ever ATP:LIVE rehearsal. The photo above is of my ATP:LIVE desk with my new ATP logo :)

My set up (for now) is me, my macbook, a roland 404sx sampler and a roland gaia. All of these sit on top of a keyboard stand with pasting table folded up on top. Rock n Roll!

I will admit there is some way to go in terms of perfecting the set but it was great to hear my music coming back at me through the speakers in my music room. I have over 140 samples which make up the beats and vocal samples in the songs and I am re working all the tracks with new synth parts and well ... its just fun doing it.

My aim is to start gigging around October time - I would like to do it before but am having a rather major operation at the end of July which will leave me flat on my back for 6 weeks. More on that in the future.

Anyway - I am feeling positive about ATP:LIVE and my hope is to not only return to Glastonbury as a punter next year but also play there too.

I live in hope ...

Last weekend I went to The Great Escape 'festival' in Brighton. TGE for those of you that don't know is largely an industry based event in which bands from across the world come to Brighton to play gigs and be watched by delegates and fans.

I went along to a few gigs - the best of which was at The Dome on Saturday Night - I saw Unicorn Kid who I am really liking at the moment. He was supporting Chase & Status who were just amazing.

As such it has not become one of my ambitions to play on stage at The Dome in Brighton. It was just simply amazing watching the artists from the circle and seeing everyone dancing and going mental.

Following TGE I went out to Holland and on my flight back yesterday I was listening to some ATP tracks and working out in my mind how I can finally do ATP Live ... I have started making notes and looking into equipment - it will happen soon and boy oh boy - when it does it will be great.

There are 3 gigs I want to achieve: 1. Playing at Glastonbury, 2. Playing at Brixton Academy & 3. Playing at The Dome, Brighton.

It may never happen but without ambition nothing does.

It's all go-go-go here at ATPHQ. I have all the EPs back and am currently sending out Press Release's to the Monthly Music Mags - once they are all out its the weekly ones and Radio Stations that need doing - In total there are about 150 Jiffy envelopes to write. Fun Times.

I am also working on some new-new music and it's sounding VERY different - think Classical vs The Streets - kind of .... then divide by folk and you are close.

The wrong side of the screen

Today is Friday and I am having one of those moments where I sit at my desk and question my working life and how it takes it toll on music.

It almost feels like there is nothing happening with ATP at the moment - but thats wrong - the new EP has gone to get pressed and will be back soon and that means that I need to update my mailing list to send it out for reviews and radio play.

Being an independent artist makes this difficult as I dont have anyone to follow up or contact people on my behalf - so its all down to me. If I dont make the calls or send the CDs then nothing will happen. In thats sense I control my own destiny.

For me as an artist the hardest thing (as with many musicians) is getting that break or getting the CD into the hands of someone who will play it, love it and play it to the world to gain new fans and progress things.

I was on a train the other day and listened to the new EP for the first time in quite a while and I still enjoyed it. I am happier with it than the first album, but I know I have a LOT more to offer and just need time to sit down and create the best music I can. I know its in me and it will happen.

So I will be using my time at work today to update my mailing list - research who is the best new shows, blogs etc to send it to and then get the press release ready for the next few weeks.

If anyone out there reading this knows any radio djs or journalists please let me know as every bit of help i get is needed.

Costa Rica

Yesterday I got back from two weeks in Costa Rica. It was an amazing fortnight and a hell of a lot happened - hospitals, theft, broken down cars at the base of a volcano etc.

The downside of the week was Mrs Pigeons passport (and a shit load of other stuff) was stolen and she ended up having to fly back via Spain on a new flight as the US wont allow people to travel through the county on emergency passports. Even though on the way through we had to have our hands, feet, eyes etc scanned and logged. Anyway - I am not going to go into all that.

The country of Costa Rica is beautiful - if you have never been - I suggest going.

I have come back to a flurry of LP1 sales which is always nice and the new EP artwork is all finished - so I can get that sent off to get produced in the next couple of weeks.

At the moment although it seems like years (or months rather) away I think the release date will be August 2010 - There will be a launch party and a whole host of promotional activity.

I have also been writing to some songs - and I mean proper writing with lyrics - melodies - and stuff rather than purely electronic stuff - I think a new 4 track EP of very different sounding material could surface before the end of the year :)

2010 seems to be flying by. It's almost the end of month two and I am pretty sure month 3 is also going to fly by. I am not a massive fan of the post-Christmas pre-Summer time, but today I am starting to get the feeling summer is on the way and is going to be a good one.

Things at ATP towers are plodding along well. The new EP is mixed, mastered and the artwork is being worked on at the moment by my good friend Gav. The plan is to get it pressed ASAP and have it out for sale in the Summer.

One of the other things I have been thinking about is a series of 'Pigeon Parties' throughout the summer - basically little gigs/club nights with all kinds of things going on. I used to promote gigs in the old days so I am looking forward to setting up something new. Exciting!

Hello America

I was looking at my MySpace stats page the other day and it was rather interesting. Nearly half of the people who viewed my artist page were from the states (USA) which I found really interesting. Alongside that the listeners were mostly males aged 18-24.

How funny.

Anyway - things here in ATP world are currently revolving around trying to book some DJ gigs for the summer and putting together a time line for the new EP release. I am hoping to have it out in June - which is ages away - who knows there might even be another new EP made by then.

The other thing that I keep thinking about is how to make ATP work LIVE. Its not an easy one as I really want to avoid the whole 'just laptop' thing and do something a bit different - in my mind I kind of know how it will work but need £1000s to get the equipment :(

Welcome to one of the final ATP blog updates for 2009. Last week I was working around the UK and whilst traveling on the Virgin pendalino train I managed to finish off the 6 tracks for the next EP.

I have been listening back to the new EP a fair bit over the weekend, in cars, on headphones, on phone speakers and I must say I am rather liking it. It's not a massive departure from the debut album, but it is a lot, lot better. I think it is a bit more 'punchy' and raw. When I made the debut I spent hours and hours and hours listening to the album, tweaking tracks and in the end I think I was so bored by it before it was even released. With the new one very few people have heard it so far and I plan on keeping it that way until it's released.

So, when will that be? - I plan to mix and master it in Jan 2010. Then I hope to get the CDs pressed in Feb / March - promo done in April and I am expecting the birth of this one to be in May/June ... So half a year away yet. I am sure that one I get some of the CDs back I will be allowed to start selling them though.

Next week I am off to France to go skiing, no doubt I will be listening to the new EP on the slopes to see how it works ;o)

Bit of a personal rant today, I try as much as I can to keep this blog about ATP and not stuff going on in my own life but hey, its Thursday and I feel people should know about this.

I found out today that Brighton & Hove Council have finally given the go ahead for 4 new houses to be built on some land right outside the back of my house. I have been fighting this application for five years and today I can do no more.

It sickens me that they allowed it to go ahead as the fire and emergency services said they should not allow it as no fire engines can get to the site in an emergency as the road that leads to the site is too thin. I cannot believe that the Council would put peoples safety ahead of a housing development.

Seriously seriously gutted - I have no proof but I am so, so, sure that some back-hander has gone on somewhere .....

Is it too early for reflection?

We are reaching the end of 2009 and for me the end of the year always brings about a moment of reflection. 2009 has been a good year for me; I released my debut album, got some great reviews, DJed all around Europe, signed a publishing deal and gained lots new fans.

I started the year with a lot of goals and although I met quite a lot of them, there are a lot that I did not meet and these will now carry over to 2010. I guess one of the biggest things I want to achieve is finding a way to take ATP out and about as a live show. Sadly at the moment I don't have the equipment I need to pull it off, so need to keep saving. There is no point doing it unless its going to be good.

Next year is a big challenge for me - I am going to be releasing a new EP. The EP is pretty much finished - just a few tweaks to make and then I will get it mixed and mastered with a view of getting it out there in Spring-Summer time. I am going to be hitting the promotion hard and hope to get more reviews, more radio play and make more new fans.

I also want to find a way of DJing at some festivals - so if you know anyone who can help - please let me know.

I also want to take this 'time of reflection' to thank anyone who has listened, purchased, played or enjoyed my music. As a musician you need fans, you need people to listen to, and play your music and buy your releases, and you also need a lucky break every now and then.

At the moment I feel like I need this break in order to reach the next level. Maybe that break is round the corner?

One other thing I forgot to mention above was the theme tune I made for the eBook version of 'Who Goes There?' by Nick Griffiths. You can buy the eBook >> Here!

It's a great product - the book is brilliant and I highly recommend getting a copy, also check out Nicks other books as he's a great writer and any of them would make an ideal Christmas present.

WaWa

Last weekend was spent in Warsaw, Poland. I was invited out to DJ with Mr Kordys at an art exhibition/party. I arrived on Friday night with Mrs Pigeons, we rocked up to the very posh Marriot hotel to check in. However after a quick bit of confusion at the reception desk we realised we were meant to be at the less posh Metropol down the road. I really need to read things better.

Saturday morning was spent looking around the cultural area of Warsaw. We went up the Cultural Palace which was really high, saw some Pigeons up there and then went to the technology museum to the James Bond spy exhibition. That was really good fun with drill-guns, gun-bras and more pigeons.

Then Saturday night was the actual DJ Set. We arrived at 1500m2 early evening and took a brief look round. The building is a block of (unused) flats, very eastern European looking and every room had a different art installation in it. Some were just paintings, others were video, some were just odd but the whole place was pretty impressive.

My DJ Set started about 11pm and I did about 1 hour before handing over to Mr Kordys who did 1hr. Then back to me for more music and back to him to end the night ... I think we left the venue about 3.30am, a bit tipsy. So found some food opposite our hotel and then sleep.

The next day we visited the Old Town and nursed our heads. Monday was spent shopping and having lots of Mocha's.

All in all a great weekend was had. I want to thank Kordys for inviting me out there and I'll be organizing a Pigeon show over here in UK with him soon.

Poland Awaits

I was away some of this week in Oxfordshire, staying in a rather posh county manor. All very nice and it gave me time to work on some tracks. On the train back from Oxford to Brighton via Reading and Gatwick I finished what I refer to as the 1st Draft of my new EP.

I have already got a title and a front cover for the EP and just need to tidy up the tracks and get it mixed, mastered, produced etc etc etc - all this takes time. So I imagine the EP will be 'out' on CD and iTunes next April/May time.

Its going to have 5/6 tracks including 'mocha to go', 'michael jacksons last waltz', 'the latin word for amusement', 'the kids today', 'the darker side of' and 'urban garden'. I already prefer it to my debut album, probably because its fresh and new and shorter - in retrospect maybe the debut should have been a bit shorter but hey-ho, you can't change the past ... onwards to the future.

Which in my case means DJing tomorrow night in Warsaw! I will report on my findings next week. Bring on the Zubrowka!

Tonight I am going to see Mr Frank Turner in London which I am very much looking forward to. Frank is an old friend and its amazing to think he is now headlining the likes of Shepherds Bush Empire. I can't wait.

So what have I been up to? Well I have made a new remix for Wobbly Squadron which I finished mixing last night. It's hopefully going to appear on their forthcoming 'when you awake' single. I will be uploading it to my ATP RMX myspace soon for you to listen to.

I am hoping to do one of these a month with some old, some new and some borrowed music.

Next week I am off to Poland to go and DJ with Mr Kordys in Warsaw (WaWa), I really dont know what to expect so am half filled with excitement, half filled with fear and a little bit filled with something else.

Not many of you know this but I am 1/4 Polish myself and have never been to WaWa so am very much looking forward to the whole weekend.

Hello Autumn : Falling Leaves

It's been a strange few weeks. Summer seemed to make a brief return last weekend but has now gone to make way for the Autumn. Last night whilst walking home from work I could not fail to notice the leaves turning brown and falling from the trees. Next stop Winter.

Living and working in Brighton has also been strange over the last few days due to the Labour Conference taking place at The Brighton Center. The whole city is on police lock down and its just horrible. Yesterday I passed 36 police officers on a brief stroll to Argos and saw about a dozen riot vans and 2 undercover police cars racing round the city. I will be pleased and happy when the conference ends and Brighton can return to normal.

In terms of ATP stuff - well, I have been (slowly) working away on a new EP. I decided that the 2nd full length album is going to the themed and it will be amazing. As such I think it could take 2-5 years to finish it. I really want it to be perfect. My inspiration is Screamadelica by Primal Scream and The Haunted Dance Floor by Sabre's of Paradise. The album will be called 'Get Amongst It' and is going to be based on an evening out. Starting with early evening-drinks with friends, through the journey into town, the night in the club (banging tunes) and then the come down at the end of it all.

So because this may take some time I am going to be releasing EPs for the foreseeable future. They will all have between 4-6 tracks and the first one of these has the working title of 'Repeat till fade'. Three tracks finished so far - Mocha to go, Michael Jacksons Last Waltz and The Latin Word For Amusement.

I also started work last night on a very different sounding ATP track called 'Hello Autumn : Falling Leaves' .... and with that I wish you a good day x

MTBYTT - Officially Out Today

The album is now 'officially' out on CD and iTunes.

There have been some great reviews coming in over the last few days and some really exciting things going on with some of the tracks and ATP in general. More on those over the next month.

I feel there is still a long way to go, the single did not get much national airplay - so if you have time please email the DJs on Radio1 and 6Music saying you heard my stuff and they should be playing it.

Also - I am still lacking the ability to take this stuff and play it live - I need more gear and time to rehearse - so my focus I think over the next 6 months will be working on ATP live. Alongside that I hope to have a few new tracks ready for an EP next year, this new stuff will hopefully be a little less experimental and more concise.

But for now - thanks to all who have got the album so far - if you have not - WHY>?

Reviews Begin

So the album is 'officially' out next week and a number of reviews have started being published. On the whole these are very positive.

I always knew when I released the album that it would not be everyone's cup of tea and it was maybe a bit of a risk releasing a 16 track album that jumps from here to there and back again via Nijmengen.

I think that's one of the things I like about the album; it is very varied.

I knew as soon as I finished MTBYTT that I wanted the second album to be a departure from the first one. The debut is a teenager trying to find their feet in the world, experimenting with styles, looks, sexuality and drugs. The second album WILL be a more mature young adult - sure of themselves and where they sit in the world.

This probably all sounds total and utter Bollocks to you the dear ATP reader - but I know exactly what I mean, and, I can assure you when 'Get Amongst It' comes out in 2010-2011 or maybe even 2012 - it will be amazing.

In other news I have been asked to DJ in Poland in October - in front of 1000 people - fuck me how cool will that be!

Being as this song is going to be a single I thought there should be some kind of video for it. Sadly I don't have much of a budget for anything at the moment so I made this one.

I really would have loved a dark animated video about Pigeons for this song and maybe one day I can find someone to make it for £free.

Until then you get this. I guess really the only reason I made it is so that people can hear the song on YouTube ... it's amazing how many people listen to songs on there.

I actually made this one quite a while ago but have been waiting for the ok to upload it from management and record labels.

The original is by an artist called Polly Scattergood who is a really amazing female eclectic musician and the song is called 'Other to endless' from her debut and self titled album. It was released as a single last year and I really like it. So I asked if I could remix it for her.

I have not actually heard what she thinks of the song but would love to know - so Polly if you read this - let me know ;)

Lazy Journalism

As a musician you are often opening yourself up to criticism, be it in your lyrics, your live performances or album reviews.

A few weeks ago promo copies of my debut album were sent out to press contacts for review and I am now playing the waiting game; sitting waiting for those people to review it. You always know and realise that not everyone is going to: a) like your style of music and b) not like your music at all.

The one thing you do hope for (even by someone who does not like) is a well written review after listening to what you actually sent them.

Sadly this was not the case with the first review I read last week.

In Horsham, Sussex there is a paper called The Resident and within that they have a 'journalist' called Ben Morris who 'reviewed' my album.

The title of Ben's review is 'Pigeons album fails to take off' - as you can tell from that it is not a positive one.

When I first read Ben's review I was a little bit shocked at the negativity, but upon deeper inspection it was obvious that Ben had not even listened to my album at all, instead what he has done is merely comment on a few of the tracks up on my myspace page.

I know this as he only talked about two songs 'deathstar' and 'mocha to go', the latter of which is not even on the album as sits on myspace as a work in progress demo. In fact all of the songs on myspace are demo versions - since mixing and mastering the album I have not reuploaded any tracks online. Therefore they are not finished, they are not the final versions that appear on the album and should not be used for the basis of an album review.

The one thing I can't stand with journalists is when they are lazy - for the first half of Ben's review all he has done is pasted my press release as the opening half of his review. Now in my mind PRs are used to give the people reviewing the album a bit of background to the music - not form the basis of 50% of their review.

I do not think people should be allowed to write a review without listening to what they have been sent. I am sure that Ben wrote his review before I even sent him the album and my guess is that it is sitting there unopened.

It is obvious that Ben is not a fan of electronica and he says that I am doing nothing new with my music, that may be true - I am making music I enjoy not trying to create a groundbreaking new set of songs.

I will be writing to ben@the-resident.co.uk and asking him why he chose to write a review of a few myspace tracks and pass it off as an album review rather than listening to my album - which is just that - an album - a collection of songs properly mixed, mastered and ordered as a whole body of work.

It may be the case that even if he did listen to it he would still not like it - thats fair enough but the least he can do if offer an apology for being a Lazy Journalist.

I will scan the review and upload it so you can all read it - and make your comments on it.

Glastonbury 09

I got back from Glastonbury last night about 8pm. It took 11 hours to get home, 4 of those were spent sat in the car park waiting to get out onto the road. The car was hot, the roads were busy but we made it home safely.

The festival was excellent - one of the best in sometime. There was a really nice atmosphere about the site, the rain was not too bad, the sun was hot and everyone there seemed to be really happy.

I saw beardyman, the mojo fins, lily allen, neil young, the boss, dodgy and blur ... I did probably see a few other acts but they were the main ones. My highlight was neil young and blur. Both of who I love.

Blur I have seen about 12 times and were excellent and Neil Young is an all time hero and it was great to finally see him play. Lovely grungry bassy gritty guitar sound ... mmmmm.

I also spent a lot of time in the circus fields and just plodding around the site.

Today - I am back at work and its horrible. I cant wait till Glasto 2010.

Festival Time

I am going to Glastonbury Festival this week. Sadly I am not playing - I am just a punter.

One of my life ambitions is to play at Glastonbury and I hope over the next few years I may be able to acheive this.

I first went to the festival when in 1995 when I was 15 years old, since then I have been 10 times, this year will be my 11th time. Its quite strange to think that when I first went I was half the age I am now ... madness.

I am also going to The Big Chill this year which I have never been to but am really looking forward to.

I love going to Festivals and really hope that maybe next year I can play at a few. We'll have to wait and see.

This year at Glastonbury I will be bringing a few ATP albums with me to sell and give to industry type people in the hope they listen and like it.

If you see me there - say hi .... fingers crossed the sun is out.

13. Love Pigeons

At one of the cinemas in Brighton lives a couple of pigeons, they are love pigeons and were first seen by my good friend Ollie Barron. These love pigeons sit in the stairwell and kiss and poo on everyone below. It seemed only fitting to write a song about them.

I made the backing track and sent it to Ollie whilst he was travelling SE Asia, he then recorded the vocals on his mobile phone and emailed them back to me in Brighton where I cut them up, added effects and played around with them.

This song was the result.

I am making a video for this song and may well release it as a single towards the end of the year. The video is going to be great so keep your eyes peeled.

14. ATPDNB

A very short little DnB track. The song plays hommage to Brighton through the use of a sample in the song. I made this song whilst sitting on my sofa eating pizza.

15. Wings Wings BeAt

Wings Wings Beat was the title of my first EP released back in 2005. This song is based around a sample from the children's show Pigeon Street in which the lyrics go ' on pigeon street, where sings, wings beat'.

It was one of the earlier songs to be finished for the album and I think it was a very summery feel to it. Quite floaty in its delivery.

The capital A in the song title is there for a reason. The reason for that reason may never be told.

16. The Red Lights That Guide You Home (pt.2)

I wanted to close the album with part two of the red lights. Part one is the end of side A and this one in turn closes the whole album.

It features Steph MacGregor on vocals. Go check out her stuff - it's great! We recorded the vocals in my parents conservatory last December.

It was the last song to be finished for the album and that concludes my track tales for this album.

I get 1000 copies of the album back tomorrow and will begin selling it thru the ATP eStore on Wednesday. So please buy a copy and ask your friends, family and anyone you happen to meet in the streets to also buy a copy.

MTBYTT : Track tales - pt.3

When I made MTBYTT I really wanted to have a definitive A side and B side to the record - as though it were a vinyl release. So side two opens with

09. On A Train (In Holland)

Last year I spent quite a bit of time working in Holland (Tight Ya?) and one day when I left Mrs Pigeons set me the task of starting to make a song at Gatwick and having it finished by the evening. OATIH was the result.

I was happily working away on the track on the plane and on the train when all of a sudden a voice came across saying 'the trains were all delayed' in Dutch. I did not know what to do. So when the ticket lady came along I asked her and recorded her response so that I knew where I was going.

I cut up parts of the conversation and hey presto = I got a song.

10. If You Unwrap The Wrapper You Leave Me Exposed

The longest track title on the album and the second to use a clip found on youtube. In this song there is a South Afrika lady talking about racing Pigeons. There are also Pigeon chants from some other people.

Those aspects along with the backing track is what makes this song. Can you tell I dont have much to say about it?

11. The Trial & The Beats

The trial and the beats was first worked on in Brighton Law Courts. For anyone who has ever been to court you will know it can be very boring. I took my laptop to keep me company.

I have previously written about this song when I did the post about the video for the song.

But to sum it up - the song featues clips from an old animated movie called Hugo The Hippo which is one of the best films ever made. If you have not seen it get yourself a copy and watch it.

The director of the film gave me permission to use the clips.

12. The Old Bill Move Fast

The trial and the beats, the old bill move fast and love pigeons all merge into each other on the album. Its kind of like a mini 3 act play - the trial - the fuzz and the peace at the other end of it all.

The Old Bill features words and the voice of Tim Lay and is basically an extract from his book 'The sewerside chronicles' set to music. I worked with Tim many moons ago and he wrote SSC around that time. It got published last year after he won the Discovered Artists award.

Its a great read and I would recommend everyone to buy a copy from his site.

The song was created on a train back from Bangor and Tim recorded the vocals over a Skpye telephone call.

MTBYTT : Track Tales - pt.2

I did the first four tracks earlier and here come the next four on the album.

05. Bird Flew

Bird Flew is a jumpy beat driven little number. The song features a sample by Beans On Toast. The bass in this song was done by Mrs Pigeons!

I first saw Beans on Toast live years ago when he was supporting Frank Turner - his songs are so catchy, funny and I really wanted to use his track in mine. I sent him the song and he said he loved it and was happy for it to be used.

06. Pavlov's Pigeon

Almost until the album went to press this song was called 'Behavioural Devices' but I changed it at the last minute. The song is one of two on the album that feature pigeon related samples I found on YouTube.

This song is all about teaching Pigeons how to be clever and learn - much like the idea of Pavlov's Dog. The running theme is that "repetition leads to reinforcement".

07. Larkin About

Larkin About takes its lyrics from a Philip Larkin poem called 'Pigeons' and will be the first single from the album - released 03.08.09

The song features Frank Turner on lyrical duties and was recorded in a pub in Copsale in April 08. For those of you that don't know Frank - where have you been?

I made the backing of the song whilst in Holland and sent it over to Frank with some very bad guide vocals - we then met up before one of his gigs to record the vocals.

The track has been approved by the Larkin Estate and Larkin Society and I am hoping it will get some radio play as a single.

08. The Red Lights That Guide You Home (pt.1)

Red Lights One was originally just a single track before a conversation with a friend of mine made me realise that it would be good with vocals and so it became a two parter.

This track closes off the A Side of the album and in turn Red 2 closes the album proper.

The title is all about being stuck in a traffic jam on the way home from work when all you see is a line of red lights going down the road and all you want to do is get back home as fast as possible.

Not really sure what else to say about this one - it probably took less that an hour to finish it.

MTBYTT : Track Tales - pt.1

Yesterday I posted the track listing for MTBYTT and a while ago I thought of writing a bit about each track so you, the reader will know more about them when you buy the album and listen to the songs.

Here goes - I think I'll break it down into 4 posts, each with 4 songs .. some of them are probably not very exciting but I'll try my best.

01. Music To Brush Your Teeth To

The opening track has the same title as the album, generally something I dont like but in this instance I think it works.

The track has the voice of Radio One DJ Rob Da Bank on it. Many years ago Rob played one of my old songs on his show and I recorded his voice - it seemed to fit in really well as an album opener. A bit like Mary Anne Hobbs on the Mr Scruff album. Rob gave me the go ahead to use it on the album so I thank him.

The teeth washing and gurgaling sounds were recorded whilst I was in a hotel in holland. And the reason I called the album 'Music to brush your teeth to' is because a lot of my old demos were all 2 mins long - the ideal time to brush your teeth for.

I also use this track to open all my DJ shows.

02. Deep Housey

Deep Housey is a nod to the old school house tracks of yesteryear. It was one of the first tracks I recorded for MTBYTT and took one of the longest times to finish it.

A large part of the song was recorded whilst I was in a hotel reception in Austria following a Ski Trip. I then continued the track on my EasyJet flight back home.

DH was released as a low key download single last year and the song has had a fair bit of radio play since then. The likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and a number of 6 Music DJs have aired this tune.

03. Hold Tight: Brighton

This song was the first ever ATP song - made in 2001? It was originally on my now sold out 'wings wings beat ep' and was called Firefly. I decided to add it to the album as I really liked it and wanted more people to hear it.

The song was featured on a Brighton Council tourisim advert a few years back which is why it got renamed to Hold Tight: Brighton. Which is a nod to the Chemical Brothers song Hold Tight London.

04. Trouble On The Deathstar

People who know me will know that I am a rather large Star Wars fan. This song was another of the really early MTBYTT tracks. Most of the song was recorded and finished in just one day. I had originally hoped to use the actual sample from Star Wars, A New Hope in the song but was pretty sure George Lucas would not allow it.

So I re spoke the lines that Hann says when they first board the Deathstar and rescue the princess. There is also a video for this song kicking around on youtube - the link for that is somewhere in my previous posts.

So thats the first 4 tracks - I'll do the next four soon! Hope you enjoy these little insights.

To lighten the day I wanted to share these photos with you.
They are by a guy called Simon De Glanville and are totally amazing.

He like me is a fan of Pigeons and i am hoping to work with him in the future on artwork for a future ATP release. I have added links to his website and the Telegraph paper which as a lod more on it.

I don't like Politics all that much - I try not to get too involved.
However I am sick and so disgusted that the BNP have got seats in Europe.

Delays

Last weekend I went to Barcelona to a friends wedding. It was an amazing weekend. I was the best man and also did an ATP dj set. Truely great ... apart from the service I got from Ryanair on the way out there. I wont go into a full rant here (yet) but due to their total uselessness I was still checking in as the plane was ready to take off ... Idiots.

Anyway ...

I got back from Hols to find delays in the CD pressing - the artwork for the CD has been holding up production. Its down to things I dont understand but I HOPE that it is almost sorted and they can begin.

All the envelopes for press and radio are stuffed with the Press Release and all labelled up. So just waiting on them CDs ....

In 2 weeks or so I will be getting my debut album back from the duplication company and will be sending it out to press and radio contacts...I already have a good list but need more.

So I wanted to put out a call to arms - a cry for help.

Do you know anyone who may be able to play my songs or review my album?

Maybe a friend of yours is a Radio DJ, writes reviews or makes podcasts? If so then please let me know as I want to get the album out there to as many people as possible to help me promote it.

The more exposure I can get the better chances I have of making new fans and selling my album....
